Here ya go: 1959 clip of a trip my family took to BobLo in terrible quality 8mm film. My dad was a home movie nut. He bought the cheapest poorest quality 8mm camera, I think, known to mankind. Panoramic view of the skyline in 1959 clearly shows Mich Con builidng, Ford Auditorium, Penobscot building. Cobo Hall and Arena were under construction...you can clearly see the steel girders forming the skeletons of both . Then a cool shot of the Ambassador bridge as the boat passes under it.
