Message of interest posted from RHS Alum:

All this year, Motown music is celebrating 50 years.  The following link is a great site of review.  I believe it would be nice to post.  Especially since we all grew up with it and lived in Motown.

Check out the cool article in the Free Press:

this is the same song but made in 2006

Righteous Brother request from Palmer Byrd:

A black friend of mine, Roslayn Nettles, a Redford 68 alum,
used to call the Righteous Brothers "their blue-eyed soul brothers."
Is that a description universal?

Susan Geake Lilly loves 3 Dog Night!

"Shutting Detroit Down" has a chance to be one of the most memorable country songs of its time because it's about a very real issue - our failing economy. People will look back in 10-20 years and remember the song as a reminder of these difficult times.

It's very critical of Wall Street people who are living it up while "in the real world, they're shutting Detroit down." With Detroit, obviously, meaning the American auto industry and workers everywhere.

Hey Pat!  I put this melody of songs they did for the Mama Papa.  We gotta get out fo this place I played alot when I was stationed on NAS Agana Guam.  Believe me we played it alot - there were no cars to be had - even if there was I was only making $119 every two week in the Navy. 1969-71

Hi Chris:  Love the new addition to RHS 1968.  This is dedicated to the one I love by the Mamas and Papas.  Or We gotta get out of this place by the Animals.  Or how about Wipe Out.  Thanks Chris, Pat O'Dell Macaulay

1970 Cool Dresser - lol - Chris Timco
When I came home on leave from NAS Agana Guam in 1970 - I got myself a new pair of 'threads' at a clothing store in Grandland Shopping Center at Grand River and Fenkell
crossroad.  I thought I was cool.  Now it's YIKES!  lol

I requested YMCA because it was about the era we were all in.
